Nova Scotia Snowboard is pleased to release the athlete selection criteria for the 2027 Canada Winter Games in Québec City.
The Games will take place from February 27 to March 14, 2027. Snowboarding is included in Week 2, with athletes expected to participate in Games activities from March 7 to 15. Schedule can be found on the Quebec Canada Winter Games 2027 website
Snowboard events will be held at three venues in the Québec City region:
- Mont-Sainte-Anne
- Stoneham Mountain Resort
- Le Relais Ski Centre
Team Nova Scotia
Nova Scotia Snowboard may select a maximum of eight athletes:
- Four male athletes
- Four female athletes
This maximum roster applies when Nova Scotia enters athletes in at least three of the five snowboard disciplines for each gender. The roster may be reduced to three athletes per gender when entering two disciplines, or two athletes per gender when entering one discipline.
Athletes may potentially compete in the following women’s and men’s events:
- Parallel Giant Slalom
- Snowboardcross
- Slopestyle
- Big Air
- Halfpipe
A maximum of four athletes per gender from each province or territory may compete in any one event. Athletes selected in one discipline may also be considered for an additional event at their coach’s discretion, provided they meet the applicable technical and safety standards and space is available within the event quota.
Eligible athletes must be between 13 and 19 years of age as of December 31, 2026—corresponding to birth years 2007 through 2013—and must meet all membership, competition, technical and program requirements contained in the selection protocol.
Any athlete who is eligible and wishes to represent Nova Scotia must complete the “Declaration of Intent to Compete at the 2027 Canada Winter Games” to be considered for selection.
Athlete selections and alternates are scheduled to be determined on January 16, 2027.
