You may click the link to switch the active language.<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nova Scotia Snowboard is pleased to release the athlete selection criteria for the 2027 Canada Winter Games in Qu\u00e9bec City.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Games will take place from February 27 to March 14, 2027. Snowboarding is included in Week 2, with athletes expected to participate in Games activities from March 7 to 15. Schedule can be found on the Quebec Canada Winter Games 2027 <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/cg2027.gems.pro\/Result\/Sport_List.aspx?SetLanguage=en-CA\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">website<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Snowboard events will be held at three venues in the Qu\u00e9bec City region:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mont-Sainte-Anne<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Stoneham Mountain Resort<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Le Relais Ski Centre<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><b>Team Nova Scotia<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nova Scotia Snowboard may select a maximum of eight athletes:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Four male athletes<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Four female athletes<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This maximum roster applies when Nova Scotia enters athletes in at least three of the five snowboard disciplines for each gender. The roster may be reduced to three athletes per gender when entering two disciplines, or two athletes per gender when entering one discipline.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Athletes may potentially compete in the following women\u2019s and men\u2019s events:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Parallel Giant Slalom<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Snowboardcross<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Slopestyle<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Big Air<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Halfpipe<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A maximum of four athletes per gender from each province or territory may compete in any one event. Athletes selected in one discipline may also be considered for an additional event at their coach\u2019s discretion, provided they meet the applicable technical and safety standards and space is available within the event quota.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Eligible athletes must be between 13 and 19 years of age as of December 31, 2026\u2014corresponding to birth years 2007 through 2013\u2014and must meet all membership, competition, technical and program requirements contained in the selection protocol.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Any athlete who is eligible and wishes to represent Nova Scotia must complete the \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSfHm3knWQokGiWy4VgHyJdGDUScyRYxKFFCQFmhUIkJa_t2IA\/viewform\">Declaration of Intent to Compete at the 2027 Canada Winter Games<\/a>\u201d to be considered for selection.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Athlete selections and alternates are scheduled to be determined on January 16, 2027.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All interested athletes and families are strongly encouraged to review the complete selection protocol carefully:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nssnowboard.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2027-Canada-Games-Selection-Protocol-V-2.2.3-Final.docx.pdf\"><b>2027 Canada Winter Games Selection Protocol<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Questions about the selection process may be directed to Cassandra Smith, Excellence Coach, Nova Scotia Snowboard <a href=\"mailto:cassandra@snowboardnovascotia.ca\">cassandra@snowboardnovascotia.ca<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>D\u00e9sol\u00e9, cet article est seulement disponible en English.
