HALIFAX, N.S. – <\/strong>Nova Scotia Snowboard is pleased to announce the appointment of David Campbell as its new Executive Director, effective August 24, 2026.<\/p>\n

Campbell brings more than 20 years of experience leading provincial sport organizations, community sport programs and member-based organizations. His background includes serving as Executive Director of Golf Nova Scotia and United DFC Soccer Club, where he worked closely with boards, staff, volunteers, clubs, athletes and community partners.<\/p>\n

In his new role, Campbell will focus on strengthening Nova Scotia Snowboard\u2019s operations, supporting its clubs and volunteers, developing sustainable partnerships and helping expand opportunities for athletes, coaches and participants throughout the province.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am grateful to the Board of Directors for placing their trust in me,\u201d said Campbell. \u201cTheBoard and volunteers have dedicated considerable time and energy to supporting snowboarding in Nova Scotia, and I look forward to building on that work. Nova Scotia has a proud history of producing exceptional athletes, supported by committed coaches, clubs, parents and volunteers. My role will be to help strengthen the foundation that allows that community to succeed.\u201d<\/p>\n

Campbell also recognized Cassandra Smith for her leadership and service as Interim Executive Director over the past year. \u201cCassandra has provided important stability and leadership during a period of transition, while continuing to support athletes, coaches, clubs and programs across the province. I am grateful for her commitment to the organization and look forward to working closely with her as she continues her important work as Nova Scotia Snowboard\u2019s Excellence Coach.\u201d<\/p>\n

Campbell will begin meeting with staff, Board members, clubs and key partners as part of his transition into the role.<\/p>\n
